With Biden taking the lead in Georgia, I want to reiterate again how absolutely incredible Stacey Abrams is. After having her election stolen from her in 2018 by the Republicans in power, she registered and mobilized record numbers of new voters. She champions grassroots campaigning for voters. And she turned her state, a state with a horrific history of voter suppression, blue. I know votes are still being counted, but this phenomenal shift is because of the monumental efforts of Stacey Abrams.
And make no mistake, Biden taking the lead in Georgia and both Senate races going to the runoffs are because of the incredible voting efforts of Black people, especially Black women.

Make no mistake, Stacey Abrams saw the voter suppression in Georgia up close and personal. She identified the problem, knew how to fix it, and then made it happen.
We absolutely could not have done this without her. We couldn’t have done this without Black communities throughout the state.
And to be clear - if this is possible in Georgia, this is possible all over the south if we invest in historically disenfranchised districts. If we make voter suppression one of our priorities over the next four years, you will see this area of the country transform.
We owe these communities everything. Priority in political investment, electoral strategy, and policy negotiations. We’ve neglected them long enough.
